Aspects
The angles between two bodies, with orb and direction.
Five major aspects
Conjunction (0 degrees), sextile (60), square (90), trine (120) and opposition (180). Simple divisions of the circle, and that simplicity is precisely why tradition gives them the most weight.
What an orb is
Two bodies are rarely at exactly 90.00 degrees. The orb is the permitted margin -- a square at 88.20 degrees still counts. The tighter the orb, the fewer aspects a chart has, and that is a choice rather than a measurement.
The arrow in the last column
An aspect growing tighter is applying, one growing wider is separating. That follows from the speeds of both bodies; if those are unknown the column stays empty rather than showing a guess.
